Mid-sized law firm is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to support the firm’s transactional group for their Westside office. Qualified candidates must be professional, detail oriented and polished with solid verbal and written communication skills. The person must have the ability to multi task, and be willing/able to work OT (paid) as needed during closings. Paralegal in the Real Estate group supporting fast-paced housing finance
practice and other commercial real estate transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform review of title commitments and prepare title objection letters.
Review ALTA surveys and prepare comments based on standard requirements.
Request UCC searches, analyze results and prepare UCC financing statements and
Prepare loan documents based on template forms under supervision of attorneys for loan closings.
Prepare due diligence and closing agendas.
Prepare basic escrow closing documents.
Organize and manage closings.
Organize and maintain transaction files.
Review and coordinate corporate entity formation and consent documents.
Assist with other Financial Services Practice Group projects as needed.
Notary public license will be required to be obtained.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
Substantive corporate/transactional experience or equivalent education, real estate experience preferred; detail oriented skills in working with documents; excellent communication skills; strong commitment to quality of service; ability to
be a reliable team play; ability to perform effectively in a deadline driven environment; ability to
Related Training and Education Required
*Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate required. Previous real estate legal experience preferred.
Proficient in FileSite and Microsoft Office Suite.
