Real Estate Paralegal

Large, successful Real Estate investment company in Down town Los Angeles is looking for a congenial real estate paralegal to join their team.

 

Responsibilities for Real Estate Paralegal:

-Review lease packages.

-Ensures that lender approval of each lease transaction is consistent with the applicable

loan documents and must have some familiarity with loan documentation.

-Provides report and commentary on key variations from the form and note

any inconsistent language contained in the lease document.

-Track leasing brokers that participated in each lease transaction.

-Review Property Management Agreements, Leasing Services Agreements and other

Asset Management related agreements to identify and comment on key modifications

made to the standard form agreements.

– Prepare abstracts reflecting the terms of existing leases to assist as part of the due

diligence on potential commercial real estate acquisitions.

-Review tenant estoppel certificates against leases in connection with acquisitions &

dispositions.

-Draft and review estoppels for dispositions and track receipt.

-Assist is the assembly of lease materials and estoppels to be uploaded to the portal

for review by potential buyers in connection with disposition of client’s

assets.

-Review the terms of existing leases in connection with potential acquisitions; summarize key terms and

meet with members of the Investments Group as appropriate to summarize such critical issues.

 

Requirements for Real Estate Paralegal:

*Bachelor’s degree required.

*Must comply with the CA paralegal requirements.

*Basic knowledge of lease terms required.

Minimum 6 years of successful experience in working with lease matters; at least 4 years of prior real estate paralegal experience.

Law firm experience and experience with a real estate firm preferred.
